EMR-based research

EMR-based research are retrospective database-based studies that are retrospectively or prospectively designed. EMR-based studies are often used to assess epidemiology of a disease state, treatment pattern, clinical effectiveness and cost effectiveness. EMR-based studies may include in-patient or out-patient electronic medical records.

To enhance EMR-based studies, individually designed EDC (electronic data capture) system is often used as a supplemental data capture tool.

We conduct contracted EMR-based research. We also design EDC (VitalEDC) for longitudinal patient registry or ambulatory electronic medical record based research.
